NIE hätte ich gedacht einem Urlaub -Angebot dies voranzustellen :
Die Sorge um den Corona-Virus befällt offen-sichtlich Viele - und vernünftige Vorsorge ist ja auch in Ordnung. Googelt man "heute", am 4.3.2020 danach, ob es in/um Rom einen Vorfall gibt, so wird man nicht fündig !
Meine Erklärung ist die der jetzt auch im TV zu hörenden Fachleute :
WIR leben am Meer, mit einem wesentlich höheren Ultra-Violett-Anteil im Licht, was den Virus abtötet, ebenso wie Wärme, von der wir hier auch mehr haben, als im Norden - und wir haben einen sehr hohen Sauerstoffgehalt, der zB auch Benzin wesentlich besser und ökonomischer verbrennt...
Es gibt also mehrere Gründe hierher zu kom-men, anstatt sich Sorgen zu machen.
Mailand liegt näher an Deutschland (~400km), als an Rom (knapp 600km) !! - Und dann:
Es wird Vieles viel zu sehr aufgebauscht und ist WEIT ungefährlicher als eine normale In-fluenza-Grippe - schon gehört ?
Es wird ohne Sinn und Verstand medial in die Schlagzeilen gepuscht, der im Vergleich zum Influenza-Virus harmlose Corona-Virus - Men-schen werden in Schlagzeilen als 'Überträger' diffamiert und 1-2 Tage später auf "Seite 12" als "Irrtum" in einem Zeilen-Grab wieder her-vorgeholt, ganz so, wie die chinesischen Tou-risten aus einem Hotel nahe dem Vatikan, die sich erlaubten zu husten.
Erschwerend hinzu kommt in Italien:
Es zählt nicht der Fakt, sondern der Verdacht - deshalb gibt es sehr unterschiedliche "Fall-zahlen".
Dabei: Fliege ich nach Köln, dann verlasse ich den Flughafen einfach ungeprüft, komme ich in Rom-Ciampino an, dann werde ich im Ankunfts-Bereich "einzel-geprüft" - es starren mich Infrarot-Pistolen an, die meine Körper-temperatur messen sollen - und doch bleiben von den 35 Millionen Menschen per Jahr in Rom nicht einmal 2 chinesische Touristen...
Ganz anders in Mailand_ da schlafen die chi-nesischen Fabrikarbeiter teilweise in den Fabrikhallen, wo sie die "Made in Italy-Ware" produzieren, die die Deutschen so gerne in den Billig-Läden abgreifen.
ICH habe die Wahl , wo ich mich aufhalte - fühle mich hier aber weit sicherer als in mei-ner Heimatstadt Düsseldorf - und auch das nur wegen der Schlagzeilen dort...
Langer Rede kurzer Sinn: Ihr könnt Euch na-türlich auch auf Balkonien einschließen und Eure Vorräte auf Monate hinaus einlagern - ansonsten gibt es keine Risiko-Verlagerung, wenn Ihr den Urlaub genießt. ;-)
Fazit:
per Anfang März 2020 gibt es hier bei uns keinen einzigen bestätigten Corona-Fall !!

The concern about the corona virus obvious-ly affects many people - and reasonable pre-caution is okay. If you google "today", on 04.03.2020, to see if there is an incident in/around Rome, you will not find anything !
My explanation is, that of the experts who can now also be heard on TV are right:
WE live by the sea, with a much higher ultra-violet portion in the light, which kills the virus, as well as heat, of which we have more here than in the north - and we have a very high oxygen content, which burns gasoline much better and more economically...
So there are several reasons to come here instead of worrying.
Milan is closer to Germany (~400km) than to Rome (almost 600km) !
- And then:
It is too much exaggerated and is MUCH less dangerous than a normal in-fluenza-flu - did you hear that ?
It is pushed into the headlines without any sense and good reason, the corona virus, which is harmless compared to the influenza virus - people are defamed in headlines as 'carriers' and 1-2 days later on "page 12" as "mistake" in a line grave, just like the Chinese tourists from a hotel near the Vatican, who allowed themselves to cough ( like I do ).
The situation is made worse in Italy:
It's not the fact that counts, but the suspicion That's why there are very different 'case num-bers'.
And yet: If I fly to Cologne, then I simply leave the airport without being checked, if I arrive in Rome-Ciampino, then I am "individually checked" in the arrival area - infrared pistols are staring at me, which measure my body temperature - and yet there are not even 2 of the 35 million people per year in Rome which are at least suspicioned like these unguilty Chinese tourists...
Quite different in Milan_ there the chinesian factory workers partly sleep in the factory halls, where they produce the "Made in Italy goods", which the Germans like to pick up in the cheapest shops.
I(!) have the choice where I stay - but I feel much safer here than at home in Düsseldorf - and this only because of similar headlines there...
To cut a long story short: You can of course lock yourself up on balconies and store your supplies for months - otherwise there is no risk shifting when you enjoy your holidays here, at the "virus-free zone" ;-)
Conclusion:
at the beginning of March 2020 there is not a single confirmed case of Corona here in our province !
